Pastors Minister to Students Afflicted with Paralysis
TANZANIA – Pastor Johnson Odoyo’s daughter Gladness was selected by the government to go to an advanced school in Geta, five hours away. A life-threatening paralysis invaded the school, afflicting 50% of the student population. It started from the feet, advanced to the waist and threatened to proceed to the vital organs. Thankfully, this paralysis did not touch Gladness. Five of our pastors made the long journey to the school and invited local pastors to join them as they covered the school in prayer. To everyone’s delight, all the afflicted children who received prayer were healed. By contrast, those who were taken to the witchdoctors still have complications.
Noting the marvelous power of prayer, the school board designated the AC Conference to be their first call when prayer is needed. Local pastors became jealous and lodged a formal complaint. Our pastors didn’t want to be the cause of ill feelings and agreed to back away, but the school board stood by their decision, “What we have said, we have said.”
Thank God for servants of the Lord who stand ready to act in faithfulness while giving God the glory.
