ILLINOIS – On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Advent Christian Church of the Highlands in LaGrange, Illinois celebrated the 20th anniversary of their pastor, Rev. Dr. Mark Woolfington and his family, at the Sunday morning worship service. Guest speakers included: Dr. Susana Rivera-Mills, president of Aurora University; Dr. Justin West, director of the Wackerlin Center at Aurora University; and Rev. Justin Nash, newly-named executive director of the Advent Christian General Conference. Also, a musical ensemble from Aurora University under the direction of Lisa Fredenburgh, performed special music. After the service, everyone was invited to share a meal together of some of Mark’s favorites – tacos, Italian beef sandwiches and pizza.
