ILLINOIS – April 8, 2023 – More than 100 youth and adults attended Aurora Advent Christian Church’s eighth annual Easter Egg Scramble on Saturday, April 8.
Children through fifth grade were invited to hunt 4,000 eggs, up to 15 each, on the church’s north lawn. Hunters were divided into three waves: pre-K and kindergarten, first through fifth grades and a final wave for all attendees. The plastic eggs contained candy and/or candy and tickets for prizes. Prizes were Easter baskets, books, puzzles, backpacks, goody bags and crafts. A separate table offered “free stuff.”

The Rev. Matt Mull, senior pastor, opened the event with a welcome and magic trick. He used a “magic” plastic egg that disappeared and reappeared to relate the Easter story.
Pastor Mull added, “We are excited that this is an event that Redeemer Community Church wants to continue and that it can be one of our first joint ventures together as one church.”
