COLORADO – The Evangelical Press Association held its annual convention in Colorado Springs last week, April 10-12. There, ACGC’s quarterly magazine “Advent Christian Witness” received three awards: Award of Excellence (first place) for Most Improved, third place for Publication Redesign, and fifth place for Standing Column (Willie Batson’s “Marriage & Family”).

At the convention, ACGC’s representatives from the Department of Communication (Justin Nash, Meredith Broadway and Cara Brock) attended workshops and plenary sessions geared toward Christian publishing. Topics included web design, editing for clarity, effective use of photography, social media strategies and more. The department hopes to apply the techniques they learned to future content.
