Third Annual PACCI Conference Held in Philippines

Report from Bishop Efren G. Miranda, Conference President of PACCI

PHILIPPINES – Bannering the theme “Finishing Well,” the Philippine Advent Christian Conference Incorporated (PACCI) held its third annual conference on July 25-27, 2023 at Mita’s Garden Foodhouse, Janopolan, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It was a three-day event hosted by the Claveria district and was attended by more than 190 delegates composed of board of trustees members, departments heads, ordained ministers, licensed ministers and Christian workers from all over the Philippines. The theme verse is found in Acts 20:24, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” 

Some highlights of the conference were the election of the new PACCI board of trustees and the State of the Conference Address (SOCA) by Bishop Efren G. Miranda. He delivered conference ministry updates, PACCI’s status on finances and properties, discipleship matters and other various concerns. 

The event was also graced by honorable Mayor Meraluna Salvaleon-Abrogar, the Municipal Mayor of Claveria Misamis Oriental. She expressed her hope for the humanity of Claveria that through the lives of God’s servants, and her prayer that suicidal thoughts and acts of the youth will be prevented. She also offered all the delegates a free tour of Claveria’s famous tourist destination called “View Deck.” 

The PACCI Finance Department also honored the churches that faithfully gave their 15% monthly due as agreed by the general assembly by presenting them with plaques of appreciation. Moreover, the host district also initiated sports and games to strengthen the camaraderie of the delegates and deepen their fellowship. Furthermore, the Glorious Claveria Advent Christian Church headed the praise and worship team.

Upon the end of the gathering, Bishop Miranda acknowledged two additional organized local churches to PACCI: the Madaguing Advent Christian Church headed by Pastor Ricardo Ugiaban and the Way to New Life Advent Christian Church headed by Pastor Lucio Dilag. Bishop Miranda concluded the event by saying, “This assembly is a body doing each of the parts, so let’s all do our part!”
