Two Families Baptized at Friendship
MAINE – On Sunday, August 18th, the Advent Christian Church of Friendship had the joy of witnessing 14 people being baptized in the ocean waters near Steve and Lorraine Lash’s home. During the testimonies, we heard how the church’s long-standing youth programs were where many first learned about Christ’s love for them and their need to believe in Him for salvation. This was encouraging to those who faithfully serve in these ministries.
Two families were baptized together—one consisting of a father and his two teenagers, and the other, a mother and her three daughters. Most of the individuals were ministered to by Youth Pastor Justin Perkins and his wife, Kelsee. Their work has already had a significant impact on many young people, and we are truly grateful that the Lord brought them to serve among us.
We also enjoyed our church picnic, which included many who came to witness these baptisms in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Newly baptized believers: Abigail Lash; Gabriel Lash (siblings); Zachery Benner; Madelynn Lash; Caris Ehle; Jacoby Achorn; Haddee Brown; Andrew Simmons and his children AJ Simmons and Corrie Simmons; Amy Simmons and her daughters Natalie Simmons; Rosie Simmons and Abigail Simmons.
