Vacation Bible School in Mati

PHILIPPINES – Rowena Cabrizos has sent some updates on the first week of Vacation Bible School (VBS) held by Agape House Mati in the Philippines. The theme was “Hope Garden: Thriving in God’s Care.”

“When the school year ended May 31, we were all busy in preparations for the vacation bible school. Staff VBS training happened June 22. We thank the Lord for the lives of our volunteer staff and for his provision.”

VBS events lasted from June 24 to June 28, and the areas of Maitum, Malinawon and Magapo were served. On June 29, they held a graduation day and feeding program.

“Graduation day was June 29. After their graduation, we gave some school supplies as presents to the children who had perfect attendance during the five-day VBS. We also had a feeding program for them in which we distributed a complete meal of rice, bihon (a type of noodle dish), chicken adobo and juice. We served 51 kids in Malinawon, 72 in Maitum and 35 in Magapo. Glory to God!”
