Ecology (1970-73)

Whereas the effects of sin are visible all around us being revealed in many forms and including the abuse of natural resources, pollution of air and water, and some of the related problems of hunger, disease, and overpopulation; and

Whereas  our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, was interested in the whole  man, teaching both by word and example the need to become involved in the needs of the whole man; and

Whereas we need to be guided in these very difficult days to know the will of God in such matters so that we can fulfill our responsibilities as conscientious Christians,

Be it Resolved that this delegate body go on record as standing against any practice or habit that degrades man and shows him to be the prodigal (waster), and that we reaffirm our intentions to be good stewards (caretakers) of the gifts of God in terms of our resources and environment.
