News From Our Latin America Ministries

Honduras
What an amazing week (October 14 -21) serving in Honduras! Thanks to an awesome group of medical providers from Honduras and the team, we were able to treat around 350 patients in the medical clinics. This trip, we saw several patients in extremely bad condition. Our Honduran doctors, though, were able to help some of them get to the right place for further care. Thanks to Doctora Maritza and Doctora Vicky, about 90 patients were seen during the dental clinics. During the course of the week, the team also treated over 300 children with fluoride treatments.
The financial situation of the Honduran people continues to decline. On this last trip, the Cristo Salva organization helped more people with serious health needs than on any previous trip.

The team gave out over 600 pounds of food. We were privileged to hold two Vacation Bible Schools in two different schools and Sunday school with Pastor Juan.

During the course of the week, 48 people surrendered their lives to Christ and four rededicated their lives to him. We were also able to pass on the blessings of the Treasures (solar-powered audio Bibles) to folks in various communities that couldn’t read. Thank you to the individuals and churches that made the solar-powered audio Bibles available.

Explaining the Treasure

Please continue to hold up the Cristo Salva ministry. They are in the process of changing the location that the groups use for housing. The old site was declining without repairs and maintenance. There was also a bit of unrest rising in the area that further led to the decision, and a couple of new sites are under consideration.

One just never knows with whom the Lord has arranged a divine moment. The guy in the photo never did convert, but at this coffee shop was a military leader that took us under his wing and provided assurance that he and his men would be our guardian angels until we left Honduras.
Mexico

By now, the majority of readers have heard about the tragic murder of the families in northern Mexico. Please be aware that our churches are far distant from that part of Mexico and currently have no interaction with cartels. Continue to pray that the Lord allows his favor so the pastors can continue to reach the lost for him.

The church of Pastor Marcos Luna continues to reach out to the homeless of Ensenada. The number of homeless increases with each caravan that comes north. May lives be brought into that eternal kingdom regardless of country of origin.

December 7 is the upcoming annual meeting for the Mexican Conference in Tecate, Mexico. Please join me in prayer for the Lord’s guidance in the selection of leaders for 2020.
