Ministry to Singles (1978-25)

Whereas  the single life is a valid lifestyle for many Christians and one to which some have been called by God; and

Whereas we agree that the local church is intended to be the family of all God’s people, but because the church is often structured for families, many single persons find it difficult to develop full and meaningful relationships within the present context of the church,

Be it therefore Resolved that our Advent Christian churches develop greater sensitivity to the needs of the single, divorced, and widowed persons in their fellowships, and to help them fully utilize their gifts in the church.
