BIG NEWS, golfing enthusiasts (and even loyal linksters)! After 19 years as an autumn event, we are moving the challenge to early summer, in order to put the charity funds “in play” earlier in the season!
Therefore, we want to invite you to join us again, for our 20th annual Fellowship Church Golf Challenge on Saturday, June 21, at Brushy Mountain Golf Club in Taylorsville, N.C. Last year, an elite field of golfers and duffers teed it up for this friendly competition and 24 came away with winners’ trophies (awarded to the top two teams in all three flights). All of this plus door prizes, two longest drive awards, four closest to-the-pin awards, a great barbeque lunch, plus a chance to win $10,000 for a hole-in-one on #11, makes for a day of great fun, fellowship and a LOT of winners. An exciting new wrinkle is that the Hickory Crawdads have stepped up to sponsor the short par 3 hole #5. A hole-in-one there will win you four season tickets for 2026! Or closest to the pin there will win you four single game tickets, plus the chance to throw out the first pitch! So, we hope to see you at Brushy Mountain on June 21. And because it’s for such a great cause (see linked registration brochure for details) we hope you’ll invite several friends to come along as well! We’ve kept costs very low, and we promise a generous number of prizes (like in years past).
You’ll also eat well and have fun!
Registration details available here. Please register by Tuesday, June 17.
Feel free to duplicate this brochure if you need more to distribute, or call us for more and we’ll be glad to provide them. Hope to be hearing from you soon with your registration information. (All fees can be paid the day of the event.) And as any avid golfer can tell you, “Even a poor day on the golf course usually beats a good day in the office!”
