In May 2025, the New Albany Advent Christian Church made the courageous decision to begin a journey to replant in their community. Located in New Albany, Indiana, the church has been a part of the community for more than 134 years. The church had been in a state of decline for several years and has been without a pastor for more than six years. With an average Sunday attendance of 20, the church had been discerning its future. In 2024, the New Albany leadership began conversations with ACGC about the possibilities of replanting. In January 2025, Justin Nash, Bill Norwood and Adrian Dixon traveled to New Albany, Indiana to meet with the church leadership to assess their church building, the community and to provide more information about replanting.

Over the next few months, the New Albany church leadership engaged in regular prayer and conversations with ACGC, regional and conference leadership to finalize the details of the replant. As the New Albany church begins this new chapter of ministry, we’re actively searching for a church planter and are eagerly praying that God would bring another 130+ years of ministry from this new work.
