TANZANIA – Mang’ola is the small city (population 6000) where our missionaries, Johnson Odoyo and Amos Komanya, stay while ministering daily in the bush to the Datoga tribe. While staying at a hotel in the evenings, they found themselves ministering to hotel staff, laying their hands upon them in prayer. The prayers of a righteous man produce much good (James 5:16), and soon their reputation spread beyond the hotel, causing more villagers to come to them asking for them to lay their hands on them in prayer. This ignited a flame inside both Johnson and Amos. Johnson said, “God will not give me peace until I plant a church in Mang’ola.”
On Monday, June 16, Johnson and Amos made a two-day journey to Mang’ola, Tanzania for a two-week church planting mission. They spent four days going house-to-house with the gospel, adding 10 newborn believers to the family of God. Praise the Lord! On Sunday, June 22, they had a wonderful first church service.
Johnson reports, “The power of healing from God fell on all the sick people and those who were under the bondage of the enemy were set free from the power of darkness. We thank God now we have a church at Mang’ola. Thanks for your prayers!”
