Rev. A. Cameron Ainsworth Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Cameron was born Feb. 27, 1937, in Ashland, Maine to Rev. Ariel and Bernice Ainsworth. He graduated from Berkshire Christian College in 1960 and married Janice Clark. He pastored churches in the Advent Christian denomination for 54 years, serving in Clearwater, Florida, Clovis, New Mexico, Rochester, New Hampshire, Memphis, Tennessee, Fort Worth, Texas and Torrington, Connecticut.. He was a popular camp evangelist and had a deep heart for Home Missions and Urban Ministry. He was also known as a Gospel Magician and was instrumental in establishing the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians in Fort Worth. Cameron was a man of grace, wit and kindness, a fine preacher who will be deeply missed. Survivors: Wife, Janice Ainsworth; daughter, Tracy Ainsworth; son, Ariel Cameron Ainsworth III and wife, Lisa; grandson, Cameron Joseph Ainsworth; sister, Connie Ainsworth Jones and husband, Jack; and 11 nieces and nephews.
