A Biblical Approach to Funeral Ministry
Death disrupts life. Much of what we do distracts us from it. Yet famous passages key in on its presence: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Jesus is the sustainer through these times of trouble. But how are pastors to navigate the logistical challenges that death imposes?
On November 6th at 6:30pm EST we invite you to join us as two pastors dialogue about helping those facing the realities that death brings. We’ll discuss how to help grieving families and how to care for them. We’ll also spend time talking through the details of funeral services, gravesides and ways in which the church can “weep with those who weep.”
While this time will be from the perspective of a pastor, it will prove useful to any person seeking to lovingly care for those that grieve. Should time allow, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions. If you want to love others well and care for them during difficult moments in life, this opportunity is perfect for you. This sounds like an extremely helpful seminar. I would like to attend however I have a previous engagement. Will it be recorded and available after this date?
Thanks for your message! Keep an eye on our facebook page and if they record, we will make it accessible there.
