The Lord continues to bless the ministry of Camp Dixie. I’m excited to update you about our game-changing “Gym Transformation!” As of today, we have raised more than $300,000.00, and our goal is $500,000.00. The transformation has begun and will be completed before our summer sessions!
I would like to highlight a few names associated with this renovation:
- The new gym floor will be called the “Brenda Ennis Court” in memory of Brenda Ennis. Brenda was a long-time supporter of Camp Dixie. As an educator, Brenda loved kids and understood the value of Camp Dixie’s ministry toward students.
- One new lodging area will be called “Coach Skinner Locker Room” in memory of Dean Skinner. Dean was a former coach, evangelist, educator, pastor and executive director of Camp Dixie. Dean had a love for life and people.
- Another new lodging area will be called “Coach Peters Locker Room” in honor of Gene Peters. Gene has been influential in many lives during his 50-plus years of ministry as a coach, pastor, evangelist, educator and friend.
Were you a friend, classmate, teammate or player with Brenda, Dean or Coach? Would you be willing to donate in their honor or memory? Donations can be made at givebutter.com/fyflet or mailed to PO Box 288, Saint Pauls, NC 28384. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
