This year’s Christmas in October was a milestone moment. Through the generosity of Advent Christian churches, more than $70,000 was raised — our highest total in 15 years. Because of you, these gifts were sent at the end of 2025 to both current mission partners and former missionaries, reaching brothers and sisters around the world as a meaningful expression of Christ’s love.
Since the gifts were distributed, ACGC has received heartfelt notes of thanks and stories of how each person, ministry partner and conference chose to use their support. Here are just a few glimpses of the impact your generosity has made.
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Conference president Bertin Mwanya conveys his thanks on behalf of the 51 pastors of the DRC Advent Christian Conference, “for this meaningful donation for the Advent Christian pastors to celebrate the birth of the Lord of the Lords Jesus Christ.” The gifts were distributed among the pastors at their conference’s annual meeting in November.
Tanzania
Johnson Odoyo and Amos Komanya reported that their conference used the gifts to gather for a meal. Johnson reports, “We thank God for the Christmas gift, we ate together and shared our challenges in the ministry. God bless you so much for your love and offerings. Remain blessed!”

Liberia

Our Liberian pastors had a different idea. In September 2025, during our last ambassador trip there, the pastors were gifted with the “Advent Christian Minister’s Service Book.” With the CIO gift, the pastors plan to have the minister’s manual translated into the Bassa dialect, which is spoken by many of the pastors in rural locations.
And conference president Moses Gbaa sent the following note of thanks: “On behalf of the conference of Liberia, I wish to extend my thanks and appreciation to [those] who have given us this wonderful Christmas in October gift. May the Almighty God continue to guide and protect them.”
U.S.
Former missionaries were also recipients, here’s a note from Noelle and Russell Carle (former missionaries to New Zealand).
“We are once again grateful for the kindness of our denomination in remembering the small service we had the privilege of doing so long ago.”
