MOZAMBIQUE – On October 20, conference president Samuel Kasakatira of the Mozambique Advent Christian Churches set out early to visit several village congregations with Pastor Luke Dezmata.
They began their journey in Nguni Village (pictured above), where the local church is still under construction and members hope to have the walls raised within the month.
Then, Samuel and Luke made their way to the village of Dovu, where church members have started cutting poles for their church construction, which should be completed in about two weeks. The pastors plan to return to Dovu village next week to help the church members cut more poles.

In Shuva village, the location of the church building has been selected, and about half of the bricks for the construction have been acquired. The church members plan to break ground after the new year.

At the Mandua branch church in Mandua village, the church is well under way! The walls are scheduled to be completed in about two weeks’ time, followed by the roof.

The last stop of the day was Pastor Luke’s home church in Nkuleche village where the church building is nearly complete. All it lacks is the door and the floor.

Samuel Kasakatira asks for prayer for these five churches in these five villages. Let’s pray for unity among the churches and the believers, for wisdom and knowledge as they minister among their communities, and for the Lord’s provision over these church building projects.
God’s kingdom is ever expanding!
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood” (Acts 20:28, NIV).

This is SO awesome, Catherine! How encouraging to see the progress and the eagerness of these brothers and sisters to have their own House to worship the Lord.
I prayed for you during your trip to Liberia. Sometime we hope to hear a detailed report of how the team saw God work on the mission trip.
May you be blessed Catherine.
