ACGC Missions staff members and Dunntown Advent Christian Church joined together in Maine for an Explore Missions program on September 5th and 6th.
Explore Missions is a program that is all about helping participants engage in God’s work of missions in a deeper, more effective way. Participants met with Advent Christian mission leaders, prayed together for the world’s unreached peoples, heard first-hand stories about life and work in various mission fields, got a glimpse at what it looks like to become a missionary and enjoyed some delicious international foods.
Leaders of this event involved included director of international missions Jeff Walsh, his wife Rhonda Walsh, missions engagement coordinator Catherine Rybicki, Rev. Chris Barton, pastor of Newport Center AC Church and Dunntown’s own Rev. Josh Cheney.
Close to 30 people were present for the event throughout the weekend. Many thanks to Rev. Josh Tate for hosting the team in his home, and to Dunntown Advent Christian Church for hosting the event.
