Last week, on December 2 and 3, the International Missions Advisory Committee (IMAC) gathered at the ACGC offices in Charlotte, N.C. IMAC consists of volunteers who guide and strengthen our global ministry efforts. The international missions director selects and recommends each member. The current IMAC members are Travis Hutcheson, Sam Walsh, Jim Jensen and Frank Jewett.
IMAC members met in Charlotte along with the three area directors — Craig Libby (Latin America), Bryce Whiting (Africa & Europe) and our Asia Pacific Area Director — as well as missions staff Jeff Walsh and Catherine Rybicki. ACGC executive director Justin Nash also joined them.
Over two full days, the group discussed many topics. Each area director reported on their regions and the work they oversee. They reviewed special projects and church planting efforts around the world and shared encouraging updates. They also reviewed development projects at Oro Bible College (OBC) and explored some exciting future opportunities for leadership development through OBC. Erwin and Rowena Cabrizos joined remotely to share updates on their lives in Japan, Agape House ministries and the growth taking place in Agape House locations around the world. The committee also addressed progress on property sales in India, financial decisions related to several ministry areas and revisions to internal policies and procedures.
Several components of the meeting brought particular excitement and encouragement. The committee discussed the restructuring of our Mexico AC Conference so it can focus on new missional opportunities to reach the unreached in southern Mexico. IMAC also reviewed current missions service opportunities in our mission fields — especially in Japan.

On Wednesday night, after the meetings concluded, Dulin’s Grove Advent Christian Church in Charlotte hosted IMAC for a “Missions Night.” All three area directors shared news and stories from the field. The evening provided a wonderful time of fellowship.
The IMAC meetings were successful and all attendees left encouraged and excited about the Lord’s work around the world.
We look forward to sharing more about how you can serve, engage and find your role in the Great Commission.
