MAINE – On Sunday, May 4, 2025, Rev. Timothy Soucy was installed as the superintendent of the Eastern Regional Association of the Advent Christian General Conference in a service held at the South Eliot Maine Advent Christian Church. Approximately 75 participants from throughout the Eastern Region were present.
The service began with a recognition and thanks to Rev. Clayton Blackstone for his two-year service to Christ and the region as interim superintendent. The words of thanks were followed by a standing ovation of those present in recognition of the blessing that Clayton and his wife Hazel have been to the region the last two years.
The highlight of the service included some 20 ordained ministers laying hands on Tim, recognizing God’s calling to the position of superintendent and asking God’s anointing to be upon him. Participants in the service included Rev. Dwight Dean who gave the charge to Rev. Timothy Soucy, emphasizing that Tim’s ultimate call to this position is the call of our Lord.
Rev. John Tate gave the charge to the Eastern Regional Association concerning the necessity of their support of Tim through prayer, encouragement and recognition of God’s calling upon the life and ministry of Tim. The commissioning prayer and the laying on of hands was led by Tim’s father, Dr. L. Harry Soucy. The service was followed by a reception for Tim and his wife Julie hosted by the South Eliot Church.

The service was a great blessing to all as the Lord was honored and glorified through the hymns that were sung, the activities in the service and the wonderful fellowship that was enjoyed by all.
