Whereas the preparation for nuclear war is costly and consequences of nuclear confrontation are unthinkable, and due to the weight of biblical injunction,
Be it therefore Resolved that church groups and individuals be encouraged to study the arms buildup and all possible alternatives to it, and that Advent Christians be encouraged to petition the Congress and their elected officials to support a verifiable, universal freeze as a first step toward START (Strategic Arms Reduction Talks).
