Oro Bible Exams Include Mock Wedding

Catherine Rybicki

PHILIPPINES – Because of the faithful generosity of Advent Christian churches, students at Oro Bible College (OBC) are being equipped not only with biblical knowledge, but with the hands-on ministry skills they will carry into churches and communities for years to come.

From January 19–23, OBC students completed their Practical Midterm Examinations — an important milestone in their training as future pastors and ministry leaders. First-year students practiced one-on-one evangelism as part of their Evangelism & Discipleship course under the guidance of Pastor Naizam Nebreja.

Third-year students took the next step in leadership development by demonstrating proper procedures for administering Holy Communion and officiating wedding ceremonies, supervised by Rev. Jonathan Navacilla. Their training even included a mock wedding — an opportunity to practice serving families and congregations during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

These moments of preparation are possible because donors believe in raising up faithful, well-trained leaders for the church. Through your support of Penny Crusade, OBC continues to form pastors who are ready to shepherd, serve and proclaim Christ wherever they are called.

Please continue to pray for these students as they follow the calling God has placed on their lives.
