Are you looking for a high-impact short-term mission experience this summer? Agape House in Japan has two-month summer English-teaching opportunities available for those who may be interested. There’s a high demand in Japan for learning English. Native English-speaking teachers are prized above all others. Teaching English is an excellent way to provide a desired service, meet new Japanese friends and share the gospel with them.
Agape House leaders are looking to help two English-medium schools in the city of Fukuoka by providing native English speakers for summer classes. Members of Hakata Agape House (in Fukuoka) lead one of the schools. The schools are looking for people who can lead informal summer classes in cooking, baking, music or other areas of interest, using these activities as a basis for helping students build English conversation skills and vocabulary. These summer classes will run in July and August.
But there’s more to this summer experience than just teaching. You will become part of the Agape House ministry team. You will join Agape House in their worship, Bible study times and fellowship. You will experience being part of a vibrant discipleship community. You can expect to grow in your faith and be stretched by cross-cultural experiences that will broaden your perspective.
