Do you know a young writer with a big imagination and a heart for God? We’re excited to announce our Kids Story Contest! Children and teens can submit a short story for a chance to be published in our 2026 magazine.
Two categories are available:
- Ages 8–11: Animals of the Bible – Tell a Bible story from the perspective of an animal.
- Ages 12–16: Following Jesus When It’s Hard – Share a story about choosing to follow Jesus even when it’s difficult.
Each story should be 300–400 words and include a headshot. (Artwork is optional.) The first submission deadline is December 10, but entries will be accepted for consideration for all four quarters of 2026. Email entries to [email protected].
Pastors and Sunday School teachers, help us spread the word:
- Share the contest during Sunday morning announcements. Use this slide.
- Print and post the children’s flyer and the youth flyer in your ministry areas.
- Invite students to write stories as a class project or devotion activity.
- Encourage parents to participate with their kids at home.
