Do you know a young writer with a big imagination and a heart for God? We’re excited to announce our Kids Story Contest! Children and teens can submit a short story for a chance to be published in our 2026 magazine.
Two categories are available:
- Ages 8–11: Animals of the Bible – Tell a Bible story from the perspective of an animal.
- Ages 12–16: Following Jesus When It’s Hard – Share a story about choosing to follow Jesus even when it’s difficult.
Each story should be 300–400 words and include a headshot. (Artwork is optional.) The first submission deadline is December 10, but entries will be accepted for consideration for all four quarters of 2026. Because we want to hear YOUR voice, AI generated content is prohibited. Pastors and Sunday School teachers, help us spread the word:
- Share the contest during Sunday morning announcements. Use this slide.
- Print and post the children’s flyer and the youth flyer in your ministry areas.
- Invite students to write stories as a class project or devotion activity.
- Encourage parents to participate with their kids at home.
