Whereas the values commonly and historically held to be Christian have lately been challenged by moral laxity, self-serving philosophies and permissiveness, and

Whereas the subtle but destructive influence of occultic practices such as astrology, spiritism, Ouija boards, consulting of mediums,

Therefore be it Resolved that we reaffirm our deep conviction that God has created this world and us for holy purpose, and that we renew our dedication to the mission of the church through preaching deliverance from sin by the blood of Christ, through personal word and service, and through the daily living of our faith in the indwelling presence of Jesus Christ our Lord, and

Be it Further Resolved that our churches give to the members specific instruction on what the Bible teaches concerning occultic practices and their dangers.
