ACTON — Warren A. Conary, 73, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 19, 2026, following a lengthy period of declining health.
Warren was born in Rockland on October 11, 1952, and grew up in Friendship, Maine. After graduating from Medomak Valley High School in 1970, he went on to attend Berkshire Christian College, where God’s plans unfolded in a particularly meaningful way; it was there he met the love of his life, Sandra. The two would go on to share 54 years of devoted marriage. He earned his bachelor’s degree in theology in 1976, setting the course for a life lived in service to others.
For more than 35 years, Warren answered the call to pastor churches up and down the East Coast. He was a shepherd in every sense of the word, patient, steadfast, and genuinely invested in the lives of those in his care. His faith was not something he wore on Sundays; it was the foundation of everything he did and everything he was.
Away from the pulpit, Warren was most at home on a field or in the bleachers. He loved sports throughout his life, whether he was playing, coaching his children’s teams, or cheering on his grandchildren with unmistakable enthusiasm. He was the kind of grandfather who showed up, and whose presence in the stands meant everything.
Those who knew Warren knew that a conversation with him was never far from a laugh. He had a gift for levity that put people instantly at ease, and a warmth that lingered long after he left the room. He was a man of deep character and unshakeable faith, yet never heavy-handed with either. People simply wanted to be around him, and he was never too busy to make them feel seen, valued, and loved.
Warren leaves behind a legacy in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him pastor, coach, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Conary; his three children and their spouses, Rochelle and Josh, Ryan and Amy, Rosy and Megel; he will be forever missed by his 11 grandchildren, Katelyn, Rebekah, Caleb, Ethan, Ashley, Tyler, Emma, Brayden, Noah, Isaiah, and Zion; as well as his 7 great-grandchildren.
Warren will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Emmanuel Church, 75 Eastern Avenue, Rochester, NH, with a time of sharing to follow. A private family graveside service will take place, followed by a luncheon at 12:00 (noon), Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Friendship Advent Christian Church, 19 Cushing Road, Friendship.
