Irene A. Vann, 88, of McAlpin, FL passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 in the Good Samaritan Center at the Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, FL following an extended illness. The McAlpin, FL native was born Feb. 13, 1931 to Van and Lou S. Skinner Jones, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Sunland Training Center in Gainesville, FL and the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, FL for many years. She and her late husband, Dewey Dewitt “Buck” Vann also raised chickens for the Gold Kist Poultry Plant in Live Oak, FL. She and her husband were also Foster Parents in their latter years. Mrs. Vann was a member of the McAlpin Advent Christian Church in McAlpin, FL for most of her life.

She is survived by her son; Jefferson Dewitt “Jeff” and Penny Vann of Williamsburg, VA; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vann will be conducted Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Graveside in the McAlpin Advent Christian Church Cemetery, McAlpin, FL with Rev. Bruce Arnold officiating.
