JAPAN – This December was a meaningful month for our family, filled with ministry, family reunions and moments of both joy and sorrow.
Our time in Japan began with precious days spent reconnecting with family and preparing for Erwin’s trip to New York to care for his ailing mother. While he was there, we received the sad news of her passing. Though we miss her deeply, we are comforted by the hope of seeing her again in eternity.
On Christmas Sunday, we celebrated at Hakata Agape House, where I had the privilege of preaching about how Christmas brings peace. We also honored Pastor Rodel Baylon’s birthday that day. It was such a blessing to see around 60 people join the celebration, including some of our Japanese friends. Later in the month, we joined a homeless feeding outreach and held a beautiful Christmas Eve worship service. Though we missed Erwin being with us in Japan, we were grateful to celebrate the greatest gift of all — Jesus.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our ACGC and WHFMS family for your prayers, encouragement and generous support. Your gifts enabled us to minister not only in Japan but also in Claveria, Cebu, San Carlos and Guihulngan in the Philippines. We’ve witnessed God’s hand at work in every place, and we are humbled to be part of his mission.
This season has been a reminder of God’s faithfulness, love and provision. To him be all the glory!
