On July 25, our family reunited at Lakeside Campground in Maine – it was a joy to see each other again. Erwin and Rackie had come from a week at Mechanic Falls Camp and Zoe and I flew in from Texas. Both Mechanic Falls and Lakeside camps were a treat for the family to relax, enjoy God’s creation, bond and connect with our family in Christ.

We were grateful to see new faces and reconnect with old acquaintances. We participated in nearly all of their activities while Rackie joined the daily VBS. Erwin was tasked to join the Lord’s work through sharing about Agape House Ministries during one of the chapel sessions, and I shared during the women’s meeting. Rackie was also given time to share her testimony as a missionary’s daughter. It was a challenge for us not to duplicate our talks, as some joined both. Praise God for his wisdom.

I am overjoyed to know that many missionaries in the past came from Lakeside, and I look forward to God continuing to raise missionaries at this campground in the days ahead.

From Lakeside, we flew to Charlotte. We encountered some challenges as Zoe got a high fever in the middle of the week. I thank Jesus for his healing grace; Zoe was well a day before we flew. God is so good.
