Excitement continues to build in New Albany, Indiana, as Anchor Point Church (newly renamed from New Albany Advent Christian Church) prepares for its official launch on Sunday, October 18. In the weeks leading up to launch, the church has been making updates and improvements throughout the building, creating a welcoming space that reflects the church’s new identity and vision for ministry in the community. One of the most visible changes is the installation of a new church sign featuring the Anchor Point name – a reflection of the New Albany community and a tangible reminder of the new chapter God is beginning in this congregation.

Even more exciting than the changes to the building are the lives being changed by the gospel. On August 16, Anchor Point baptized Alex Deng, their third baptism, giving testimony to the work God is already doing before the official launch. We are incredibly excited about this new work and grateful for Jesse and Penny Barnett, along with everyone who is investing their time, gifts and prayers into Anchor Point Church. We can’t wait to see all that God is going to do through them as they seek to make disciples and share the hope of Jesus throughout the New Albany community.

Join us for a 24-hour prayer vigil leading up to Anchor Point’s launch Sunday, October 18. Sign up for your 10-minute slot now and let’s ask the Lord to bless this new effort!
