Seminar Invitation: Visitation

Visiting those who are sick, aging or nearing the end of life can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re a pastor, ministry leader or simply a friend or family member, being present for others in these moments matters. But what do you say? How do you listen well? What if you’re uncomfortable in a hospital or nursing home setting?

Join us on April 3rd from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Eastern (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Central) via Zoom for a special seminar on Visitation – Home, Hospital and Hospice. This session will provide practical guidance, insights and encouragement for anyone who wants to be a compassionate and faithful presence for others.

What You’ll Gain:

  • How to ask meaningful questions and truly listen
  • What to say (and what not to say) during visits
  • How to offer comfort and prayer in difficult moments
  • Understanding the unique dynamics of hospitals, nursing homes and hospice care
  • How to walk alongside a family when a loved one is passing

Meet the Speakers:

This seminar will be led by Rev. Jesse Stevens, a full-time pastor for 27 years, and Dr. Tom Moe, a pastor for more than 40 years and a seasoned hospital and hospice chaplain. Their combined experience will equip you with the confidence and skills to engage in visitation ministry with grace and wisdom.

How to Join:

This seminar is part of the MTI program, where students must attend at least one seminar each year. However, this event is open to anyone — pastors, church members or anyone who visits loved ones in need of care.

If you’d like to attend, simply email Jesse Stevens ([email protected]) or Mike Alix([email protected]) to receive the Zoom link.

Don’t miss this opportunity to grow in your ability to serve and support others in times of need. Mark your calendar and join us!
