October 30-31, the Advent Christian Eastern Regional Association held their annual convention at Emmanuel Advent Christian Church in Rochester, N.H. The theme of the convention was “Walk in a Manner Worthy of Your Calling,” drawing from the book of Ephesians. Things began on Friday morning with breakfast and a time of fellowship. Each session attendees were led in musical worship by Caleb Randall, Michelle Eaton and Pastor Matt Malinowski.
Rev. Dr. Doug Foss, senior pastor of Hope Church in Lenox, Mass., began the day with an exposition of Ephesians Chapter 1 focusing on unfathomable blessings that are ours in Christ. Derek Irvine, pastor of Vernon Advent Christian Church in Vernon, Vt., then shared and exposition of Ephesians Chapter 3, unveiling the great mystery of Christ’s work in and through his church.

Following a wonderful supper meal, a thoughtful video presented the necrology of the pastors and missionaries from the region who fell asleep in the Lord this past year. Regional superintendent, Rev. Tim Soucy, presented a lifetime service award to Mr. Paul Spearing of Bangor, Maine, which featured a video interview with Mr. Spearing and a prayer of thanksgiving from Rev. Dr. Glenn Rice. Finally, Rev. Lou Going presented the last exposition of the day from Ephesians 4, considering what it means to live out of the all the truths presented in the first three chapters of Ephesians and how we are to “walk in a manner worthy of our calling” in the local church.

Saturday’s business meeting featured various reports, an extended review and discussion time regarding the 2026 Triennial Convention and election of officers with Rev. Sam Cobb, Minister of Christian Education at Hope Church in Lenox, Mass., being elected vice president and Rev. Jonathan Price, pastor of Faith Evangelical Church in Melrose, Massachusetts was reelected as recording secretary. Rev.
