PHILIPPINES – On April 10, 2026, Oro Bible College held a Commissioning and Anointing Service for its new interns and graduating students, followed by Commencement Exercises. The event brought together students, parents, advisers and members of the OBC Board.
The Commissioning and Anointing Service:
The service began with worship before the upcoming interns were called forward for anointing. Each student was anointed with oil and prayed over by school leadership, prayers for wisdom and strength and guidance for the interns as they step into their new roles. The anointing was a clear display of their commitment to ministry and their readiness to serve the Lord.

Following this, graduating students were commissioned. It was a joyous moment of celebration for the students who had faithfully completed this season of preparation. Parents stood proudly alongside them while advisers and board members extended their hands and prayed, marking the transition from training to active ministry for the graduates as they carry the mission beyond the walls of the institution.
The Commencement Exercises:
In the afternoon, celebrations continued as the college held its Commencement Exercises, recognizing five graduates. One student, Rich Gene Colot, received Cum Laude honors for academic achievement. Commencement speaker Dr. Nely Gamayon, former director of the college, gave a message where she encouraged graduates to remain grounded in Scripture as they enter ministry.
Summer classes will begin next week, with second- and third-year students continuing their training in church planting, church growth and apologetics.
The day marked both a fulfillment of training and the beginning of new ministry opportunities for OBC students. The celebrations were a wonderful time of recognition, as well as a reminder of calling and commitment to the kingdom-building work of God.
