Water is a wonderful tool of the Lord. Water brings cleansing, a baptism, thirst quenching and can even be an instrument of evangelism for a whole village.
A church in New Hampshire faithfully maintained its operations long after some believed it would. Even when it was apparent to all that it would soon close its doors, they wanted to do something to impact the world for Christ.
The call then came to the ACGC international missions department asking us where in Africa two wells might be needed. We made some calls to Malawi and Mozambique. These two neighboring countries annually face seasons of severe drought followed by equally life-threatening flooding, making a good source of clean water essential.
We hope to hear more from Malawi soon. In the meantime, we can share with you that the council of the Maranatha Mozambique Conference chose the village of Manduwa. As the contractor sought a good drilling location, certain church members gathered on the site to make their requests known to God while singing their praises to him. Not surprisingly, they struck water.
Today, a thirsty village is thankful that God has quenched their physical thirst. Let’s pray for many more to drink from the Source of Living Water.
